try to add this line in /etc/rc.d/rc.local if your ipcop box hard to connect to your network switch or xdsl modem :
/sbin/mii-tool -A 10baseT-FD eth1 <-- eth1 is the network card that you want to configure
it's means down grade your default network card speed (from 100 mbps) to 10 mbps.
